MT-2 (Melanotan 2 Acetate) is a synthetic cyclic peptide analog of α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH). It mainly acts on melanocortin receptors, especially MC1R, MC3R, MC4R and MC5R, to promote melanin synthesis and skin tanning, reduce UV damage, and also exert effects such as anti-inflammation, appetite regulation, fat metabolism improvement and sexual function enhancement. It is commonly administered subcutaneously with a low daily maintenance dose and has a long biological half-life.
